The short version
We collect only what we need to make Revio useful. We never sell your data. You can see, export, or delete it at any time from your account settings. That's the short version — the rest of this page is the long one.
- We don't sell personal data to third parties. Full stop.
- Insurance partners and lenders see your data only if you explicitly opt-in.
- You can export everything we hold about you as a single JSON file.
- Account deletion erases your data within 30 days, except where law requires retention.
What we collect
We collect data in three buckets:
- You give us — name, email, phone, vehicle details, photos, service history, payment info.
- Your device gives us — device type, OS, IP, app version, crash reports, approximate location (with permission).
- Partners give us — RTO records (with your consent), insurance policy details (when you link a policy), garage service receipts.
How we use it
We use your data to:
- Operate the product — show your garage, deliver reminders, run the marketplace.
- Improve the product — analyse aggregated usage, A/B test, debug crashes.
- Communicate with you — service alerts, product updates, occasionally marketing (you can turn this off).
- Keep things safe — detect fraud, prevent abuse, comply with the law.
We never use your data to train external advertising networks. The AI features that personalise your dashboard are trained on aggregated, anonymised patterns — not on identifiable individual records.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you have these rights with Revio:
- Access — see exactly what we hold about you.
- Export — download a portable copy of your data.
- Correct — fix anything that is wrong or out of date.
- Delete — ask us to remove your account and associated data.
- Object — opt out of marketing and certain processing.
All of these are available in Account → Privacy. No forms, no waiting room.
How long we keep it
We hold your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we erase the bulk of it within 30 days.
Some records — transactional invoices, tax documents, fraud investigation logs — must be retained for up to 8 years under Indian law. We isolate these in restricted-access archives.
How we keep it safe
We treat security as a product feature, not a checkbox:
- All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256).
- Production access is gated behind hardware-key MFA.
- External penetration tests are run twice a year by a CERT-In empanelled auditor.
- We run a public bug-bounty programme. Reports go to security@revio.in.
Children
Revio is not intended for users under 18. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone in this age group. If you believe we have, write to privacy@revio.in and we'll erase it.
